Equality and Opportunities Policy

It is my policy not to discriminate against any child or their family.

No toys are just for boys or girls, challenge stereotypical ideas. Show different genders, people, abilities, and ethnic groups in positive images. For example use of books, colouring sheets, food from around the world festivals, etc can be used to explore their own and other peoples cultures.

I will work in partnership with parents / carers with any child in my care. There are many excellent resources and help available from West Sussex Council that I can use for supporting any child with learning difficulties or have a disability, if required.

I have attended a course on ‘Including All Children’.

Teach children to value and respect themselves and others.

I will require you to sign to say you have read and understood this Policy.
